Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Inducted Into Polynesian Football Hall of Fame

The University of Miami has a tremendous history of producing top-notch defensive linemen. Among many greats, Cortez Kennedy, Jerome Brown, Warren Sapp, Russell Maryland, Kenny Holmes, Kenard Lang, Bill Hawkins, and Calais Campbell donned The U helmet.

One of Miami's most famous graduates would be former defensive tackle Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Known even more for his exploits in Hollywood and in the wrestling ring, he is now included in the Polynesian College Football Hall of Fame.

Here's what former Miami head coach Dennies Erickson said about Johnson during his time at UM, via the College Football Hall of Fame:

"Back then, he was a broad-shouldered defensive lineman and his teammates called him “Dewey”. He was often spotted walking around campus in a lava-lava skirt singing country music.”

During Johnson's time at Miami, he was responsible for 77 tackles and 4.25 sacks, per Pro Football Network.
