Five Hurricanes Receive Invites To The 2024 NFL Combine In Indianapolis
It's looking like there will be a big addition of Pro Canes for this next season, as five Hurricanes earned invites to the 2024 NFL Combine.
After the 2023 season, Miami had a handful of players declare for the draft with hopes of hearing their names called on draft day. With the release of the 2024 NFL Combine invites, five Hurricanes will get a chance to show to scouts what they can bring to the table at the next level.
The list of invitees is as follows:
OL Javion Cohen
OL Matt Lee
DL Leonard Taylor III
DB Kamren Kinchens
DB James Willams
Despite playing some linebacker during the bowl process and even putting on some weight in the process, Williams is listed as a defensive back for the upcoming combine.
In Mel Kiper Jr.'s positional rankings for the 2024 Draft, he has Cohen listed as the seventh best guard, Lee as the sixth best center, Taylor as the fifth best defensive tackle, Kinchens as the second best safety and Williams as the seventh best safety.
With five invitees, this marks Miami's highest total since 2021 where they also had five invitees. Miami would go on to have two first round draft picks in that draft, with Jaelan Phillips going to the Dolphins and Greg Rousseau going to the Bills.
The combine is set to be hosted in Indianapolis from February 26th till March 4th, with the NFL Draft in Detroit starting April 25th and going through the 27th.
Miami has yet to announce when their Pro Day will be hosted.
