It wasn't long ago when Demarcus Van Dyke (commonly known as DVD) was viewed as one of the future stars of this Miami Hurricanes coaching staff. He played an instrumental part in landing the initial recruitment of five-star recruit Cormani McClain before he'd end up switching to the Colorado Buffaloes.

Not being able to move up the ranks at Miami, he'd go on to leave the Hurricanes later that offseason to move down the road to Florida International to be their cornerbacks coach. The FIU Panthers finished this past season 4-8 in Conference USA with just one conference win.

Earlier today, it was announced that DVD will be moving to Tampa to join the staff of University of South Florida as their cornerbacks coach. Moving to the AAC to a team that went 7-6 this past season, he'll get the chance to continue climbing rankings as he builds his resume as a recruiter and coach.

While USF will face teams like Tulane, Memphis and even Alabama next season, the most intriguing matchup in this situation will be when they play host to the Miami Hurricanes on September 21st. After just over a year away from the program, DVD will get the chance to face his former team where he played and coached.

To go along with that, some of his former recruits will also be facing off against him. Wesley Bissainthe, Damari Brown and Jaden Harris are the three remaining players on the roster that were recruited by DVD.

Well in the meantime, Miami fans can look forward to the September 21st matchup against the Bulls when Van Dyke will face off against the Hurricanes for the first time.
