Miami Defensive Tackle Leonard Taylor III NFL Combine Results
One of Miami's star prospects just wrapped up his first day at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis as he looks ahead to his named being called in April.
Miami defensive lineman Leonard Taylor III had his first slate of drills and tests today at the NFL Combine as he was allowed to show scouts what he can bring to the table athletically.
Unfortunately for Taylor, it wasn't a performance that wowed at all as he didn't test great today with the bench press coming up tomorrow. NFL Next Gen Stats ranked him as the 15th best defensive tackle in terms of athleticism score through the drills today. His stats were the following:
40-Yard Dash: 5.12 seconds
10-Yard Split: 1.76 seconds
Vertical Leap: 30"
Broad Jump: 9'1"
3-Cone Drill: 7.81 seconds
In terms as an overall prospect, the upside is still there for Taylor. He was ranked as five-star recruit coming out of high school and displayed flashes throughout his career at Miami.
His best season came in his sophomore season in 2022, where he produced 24 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and three sacks to go along with an interception.
Stay tuned at AllHurricanes for the rest of the week as Taylor will compete in the bench press drill and other Hurricanes will compete in the NFL Draft Combine.
