Congratulations to Former Miami Hurricanes Great Calais Campbell
It’s been an incredible career for former Miami Hurricanes defensive lineman Calais Campbell. The former Cane added another incredible achievement, too.
This past Sunday, Oct. 15, saw the now Atlanta Falcons defensive lineman record his 100th career NFL sack versus the Washington Commanders. That’s an incredible accomplishment, as only 59 other NFL players have reached 100 or more career sacks, per Pro Football Reference.
There’s also another remarkable aspect to Campbell having reached 100 sacks. He’s played for the Arizona Cardinals, Jacksonville Jaguars, Baltimore Ravens, and Falcons. For each of those cities, Campbell plans to give back to teachers.
From the Atlanta Falcons website, here were the details:
Dubbed the "100 Sack Give Back" initiative, Campbell will support 100 teachers nationwide, 25 in each of the cities he's played professional football in -- Phoenix, Jacksonville, Baltimore and Atlanta. Each individual teacher will receive $500 worth of school supplies and $500 to purchase other resources for their classroom
Props to Campbell and all those he’s going to help. It’s fitting way for a great man to continue his NFL journey and help many people along the way.
