Braxton Berrios Signing With Miami Dolphins
One of the most recognized Miami Hurricanes in the last decade would be wide receiver Braxton Berrios.
Few players poured their guts into the game of football the way he did, and his exploits for The U have been well known. After playing with New England for one season and the last four seasons with the New York Jets, Berrios will be warm once again.
The former Hurricane will be joining a Miami offense that had quarterback Tua Tagovailoa hit wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle all over the field. The two speedsters combined for 3,066 yards receiving and 15 touchdowns.
Adding Berrios’ ability to make plays from the slot with those two playmakers on the perimeter, will provide tough choices for opposing defensive coordinators for which receiver to attempt to slow down.
This past season for the Jets, Berrios caught 18 passes for 145 yards. He was far more involved in New York’s offense in 2021, when Berrios caught 46 passes for 431 yards and 2 touchdowns.
