Cam Ward's Miami Visit: Prime 112 Dinner And An Appearance From Rick Ross | Donno Video
On Tuesday night, Washington State transfer quarterback Cam Ward got a taste of Miami.
For the first night of his two day official visit, Ward and family were taken to dinner at famous Miami Beach restaurant Prime 112.
Rapper Rick Ross, a Miami native and Hurricanes fan, stopped by for the occasion.
Ward's visit continues on Wednesday. My understanding is today he will spend most of his time on campus in Coral Gables after seeing other parts of Miami yesterday.
Brad Tejeda from Canes Insight joined me today on my Locked On Canes podcast to break down where Miami stands with Ward. Brad also points out that Kansas State's Will Howard, who visited right before Ward, is also an option for the Hurricanes.
Miami fans are getting optimistic about landing one of these top targets. Things seem to be trending well, but nothing has been finalized.
On the Cam Ward front, Florida State insider Brendan Sonnone from Noles 247 noted Wednesday morning that Florida State has not been able to schedule or finalize a visit for Ward just yet. Miami fans can read into that positively, since Ward may be waiting to see how things wrap up with his South Florida visit before deciding to take any more trips.
On the podcast with Tejeda, we also discussed a target to replace Matt Lee at center. Miami will host Indiana transfer Zach Carpenter for a weekend visit.
Brad also broke down potential recruiting flips. Miami is going after players like Ohio State commit Jordan Lyle, FSU commit Armondo Blount, and Florida commit Adarius Hayes.
We are one week away from National Signing Day on December 20th.
