Miami DL Coach Jason Taylor Is Already A Top Five Recruiter In America | Donno Podcast

Miami's defensive line coach has made a tremendous impact in just one year.
In this story:

The Miami Hurricanes have signed the top defensive line class in America.

The group, headlined by 5-Star prospects Justin Scott and Armondo Blount, along with 4-Star standouts like Marquise Lightfoot and Booker Pickett Jr, was heavily influenced by first year defensive line coach Jason Taylor. The Pro Football Hall of Famer finished the cycle as the 5th ranked recruiter in the entire country. That's an incredible impact for someone who just got elevated from an analyst role a year ago.

We broke Taylor's influence and the importance of building from the line of scrimmage on my Locked On Canes podcast

- My prediction is that Justin Scott is the freshman D-Lineman most likely to make an immediate impact Even though he doesn't get the head start of enrolling early, his freakish athleticism at 6-4, 310 lbs will be hard to keep off the field.

-Jacurri Brown impressed Miami fans on an appearance on The Momentum Podcast. Brown explained why he wanted to redshirt last season, putting a focus on his personal development and getting tons of practice reps on the scout team. It's clear that Brown wants to develop and embraces competition. He understands why Mario Cristobal added Cam Ward to the roster and doesn't seem bitter about that in the slightest.

-Miami is still interested in adding a wide receiver to their roster before next season. The Hurricanes will be hosting JUCO standout Leland Smith this weekend. The 6-5, 205 lb standout from Fullerton College (Houston, TX) could make his decision on National Signing Day on February 7th.
