Miami Hurricanes transfer defensive lineman Marley Cook is among the strongest players to ever set foot inside the Canes weight room.

Two years ago, a pair of Hurricanes offensive linemen, Logan Sogapolu and Justice Oluwaseun, set the previous Miami Football squat record at 700 lbs each.

Cook, the former Middle Tennessee standout, just set the new team record, squatting an incredible 705 lbs!

Cook will certainly not be lacking in lower-body strength. He will compete with the likes of Jared Harrison-Hunte, Ahmad Moten and NC State transfer CJ Clark for a starting spot on Miami's D-Line next season.

Cook chose Miami over Ohio State during the December Transfer Portal window. Last season at Middle Tennessee, the Water Valley, Mississippi native record 22 tackles with a sack and a forced fumble.
