Q: Donno, do you believe that win over Clemson can be a program-changer? I know this is the not the dominant Clemson team from the past years, but it's still Clemson a team who has kicked our butt the last couple of meetings. I think it's a huge morale boost for the team. -DatDude239

A: This needs to be a program-changing season. I try not to get too high or too low after any individual win or loss. Many Miami fans acted like the sky was falling after Georgia Tech, but I kept a level head. I will do the same thing after this victory.

Miami played well in their wins over both Clemson and Texas A&M and that's encouraging. Now they need to finish strong over their final five regular season games. 4th ranked Florida State on November 11th will offer a good measuring stick.

I am bullish long term on where Miami is headed. I can't remember the last time the team was this physical in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Grinding out a team W with a freshman backup quarterback is something we cannot overlook. In similar situations last year, Miami was not competitive without Tyler Van Dyke under center.

Q: I'm so aggravated about celebrating games that we should win. I'm sick of over hype any time we beat a BS team and people pretend it's a great win. We suck. Again this is embarrassing, let's talk about it. Let me know what you think we're good at all and I'll destroy your idea and give you facts -Josh

A: Josh... have you considered trying meditation?

Why are you pretending it's still 2001? It's okay to be happy about beating a talented Clemson team in dramatic fashion after a two-game losing streak. In case you haven't been watching Hurricanes football over the past 20 years, wins like this and Texas A&M have been few and far between. It's okay to embrace the process...

As far as your "let me know what you think we're good at," challenge, have you not been paying attention to Miami's offensive line? They're really, really good. Have you been watching Rueben Bain Jr? He wouldn't look out of place on one of those great Miami defensive lines during the glory days.

Q: If Tyler Van Dyke is not 100% (I realize no one's 100% and week nine of the season) but if there's a decent risk of him setting himself back, starting against Virginia, is it worth having Emory start against Virginia? A) it can keep him healthier for the other bigger matchups we have FSU, Louisville B) maybe this gives him a little bit more motivation as well to step up and stop making some of the careless mistakes he's been making. Just a thought -From the 704

A: I think you're spot on. Emory Williams is capable of leading this team to victory against Virginia. I would only start Van Dyke if, like you said, there isn't risk of an injury setback.

Miami faces Virginia this Saturday at 3:30pm from Hard Rock Stadium.
