Miami Hurricanes Land Transfer Portal Commitment From Former NC State Defensive Tackle CJ Clark
The Miami Hurricanes have added an experienced defensive lineman from an ACC rival.
On Friday evening, former NC State defensive tackle CJ Clark announced his commitment through the transfer portal.
As noted by Hayes Fawcett in the post above, Clark has recorded 72 tackles, 4 sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss over the past four seasons.
Clark visited Miami last weekend, not long after he entered the transfer portal on November 30th.
Clark has one year of eligibility remaining. The Hurricanes desperately needed a player of his caliber at a major position of need. Miami's defensive tackle rotation is thin, and the Hurricanes have lost Leonard Taylor to the NFL Draft.
Miami is still attempting to add at least one more defensive tackle through the transfer portal. They are hosting former Middle Tennessee State standout Marley Cook for a weekend visit.
Miami is poised to land signatures on national signing day from Class of 2024 DT's Justin Scott, Artavious Jones and Daylen Russell. The Canes are also projected to land Armondo Blount in a potential flip from Florida State.
CJ Clark started all twelve games for the Wolfpack during the 2023 season. Against Miami on November fourth, he was credited with three tackles and a sack.
