Weekday Slot Given To Miami vs Virginia Tech In ACC Football Matchup
We now know when the Miami Hurricanes will face the Virginia Tech Hokies in 2024.
The Hurricanes and Hokies had been annual rivals since 1992. In 2023, when the ACC first removed divisions, they neglected to preserve the Hurricanes versus Hokies as a yearly matchup. They used the 2024 conference shakeup as an excuse to right that wrong. The former Big East rivals will become annual adversaries yet again starting this year.
The Miami Hurricanes Football account on X announced on Tuesday that their 2024 matchup against Virginia Tech has been officially scheduled for Friday, September 27th at Hard Rock Stadium.
The Hurricanes lead the all-time series 24-15.
While all twelve of Miami's opponents are set in stone for next season, this becomes just the fifth date to be announced.
-Miami plays at the Florida Gators on August 31st
-Miami hosts Florida A&M on September 7th
-Miami hosts Ball State on September 14th
-Miami plays at USF on September 21st
-Miami hosts Virginia Tech on September 28th.
The remaining games, with dates to be determined: At California, at Georgia Tech, at Louisville, home vs Duke, home vs Florida State, home against Wake Forest, and away at Syracuse.
The final schedule, complete with dates, will be announced by the conference Wednesday at 5pm.
