Miami Lands Running Back Transfer Rodney Hill From Florida State
Mario Cristobal is back at it again, as Florida State's Rodeny Hill has announced his transfer to the University of Miami via his social media.
Hill was originally committed to Florida A&M in the early part of the transfer portal, but reopened his recruitment after Willie Simmons decided to join the Duke staff as running backs coach. He'll now go further down south to join a very talented Miami running back room.
In his career at Florida State, Hill tallied 334 total rushing yards and two touchdowns while appearing in just 14 total games. Hill, a former three star recruit, also has flashed as a receiving option this past season with 83 yards on five receptions.
The redshirt freshman will head to Miami with three years of eligibility. CanesInsight shared that he will not take a scholarship spot and will be a walk-on.
Hill joins a running back room featuring the likes of Mark Fletcher Jr., Henry Parrish Jr. and Ajay Allen. To go along with one of the more talented offensive lines in the nation, Hill will have a chance to get into the mix of this deep running back rotation.
This transfer comes after safety Mishael Powell from Washington committed and now puts Miami's transfer portal class at ten total.
Miami still remains very active in the portal, as they look to round out their roster to build an ACC Championship-caliber roster around Cam Ward in Cristobal's third season.
