Two Hurricanes Named Second Team All-Americans By ESPN For 2024 Season
In this story:

A plethora of talented players on Miami's roster, two Hurricanes were honored as Way-Too-Early Second Team All-Americans for the 2024 season.

With spring football starting up next week, the anticipation for the college football season couldn't be more sky high. With the anticipation comes predictions for next season, and ESPN believes that there are two players on Miami that have great chances at earning All-American honors.

In a piece by Chris Low of ESPN, Low recognized Miami edge Rueben Bain Jr. and kicker Andy Borregales as Way-Too-Early Second Team All-Americans for the upcoming college football season.

For Bain's case, he enters his true sophomore season at Miami after displaying one of the best freshman seasons in the country in 2023. Bain totaled 7.5 sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss across 12 games played. Bain was voted as a Freshman All-American across every major news outlet for his efforts.

Now heading into next season, he'll headline a talented defensive line room as he hopes to lead this Miami defense to their first ever ACC title.

Looking at Borregales, he returns to Miami as one of the premier kickers in the country. With just one extra point miss in his career across 122 attempts, he also holds a career-long of 55 yards and an 83.6% field goal rate. Borregales was a semi-finalist for the Lou Garza award this past season.

No matter if it's Bain or Borregales, there's plenty of talent on this team that could make their name into All-American talks if the season goes to plan. Stay tuned for updates on how these two projected stars do and others in spring football coming up.
