Miami Lands No. 1 2025 Florida Prospect!
There are few recruits with the impact potential of Miami (Fla.) Central's Armondo Blount. He's now a part of the budding 2025 Miami recruiting class as the latest Canes commitment.
Offers from the majority of the top Power 5 schools are on the table for Blount like Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and many more. Instead, Blount is staying home and playing for Mario Cristobal his coaching staff.
A natural edge rusher, he’s becoming more and more dominant for the Rockets. Against Ocala (Fla.) Vanguard, Blount establishes himself as one of the nation’s best with 6 sacks. He’s only a 2025 prospect, so Blount is just beginning.
At 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds, seeing him move in space and bring down players that weight 75 pounds less than him, that’s impressive. Seeing him do it several times is even more impressive. There’s one common denominator for the Central star.
First-step quickness. For a young man of Blount's size, he’s incredible at getting by the offensive tackle with speed. If he wants, he goes speed-to-power and bull rushes as well.
The long-term upside for this young man in Coral Gables is tremendous. Miami is building a dominant defensive front and Blount is going to be a major part of that transformation.
