Miami recruiting news takes center stage
In this story:

Miami's recruiting efforts continue to impress.

The Hurricanes hold another top-10 recruiting class with the 2024 signees. There's been no shortage of effort to get out and sign another elite list of prospects from the class of 2025 either.

Here's some of what's been going on with UM recruiting.

Battle Miami's Best

Numerous top recruits showed out during this past weekend's Battle Miami tournament. Here's how On3 saw the top performers, which just happens to include multiple prospects the Hurricanes are going after.

Of course, there's Homestead (Fla.) High School's Cortez Mills, the player in the video above. He's a speedy receiver that is coveted by schools across the nation. He was a problem for defensive backs this past weekend. UM is one of the schools that has a legit shot to land Mills, a prospect currently ranked as a 4-star across the major recruiting platforms.

All-around talent DJ Pickett is a 6-foot-3-and-a-half cornerback that teams avoid. He's also a talented wide receiver, as the following video displays.

From Zephyrhills (Fla.) High School, Pickett's recruitment will probably not conclude until National Signing Day. Miami is definitely in the mix and it does not hurt that his cousin Booker Pickett, Jr. just signed with the Canes. He is arguably the most heavily recruited player in the entire 2025 class, as a final point about Pickett.

Miami Recruiting On Full Blast

No matter where one looks on X or Instagram, there's something about Miami recruiting a top prospect. Mario Cristobal and his staff are hitting the road hard and meeting with top 2025 recruits.

Here are a few of the posts from the previous couple of days, starting with top-notch defensive line recruit Matt Johnson from famed Concord (Calif.) De La Salle.

Next, another defensive lineman has a UM offer. It's New Orleans (La.) Edna Karr prospect Richard Anderson. He's a 4-star recruit within the On3 recruiting rankings and is just starting to blow up.

After 93 receptions, 1,500 yards, and 24 touchdowns, Jayvan Boggs is one of the most touted prospects in the Sunshine State. Currently an Ohio State commitment, he is a big reason Cocoa (Fla.) now has six state titles with the Tigers winning 2S this past season. Boggs now also holds an offer from Miami.

Missouri, Auburn, LSU, Texas A&M, and Miami are five of the offers for Jesse Harold. The Tampa (Fla.) Robinson edge defender fits the profile at 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds. It's amazing how many defensive ends the state of Florida produces and Harold is one of the best for 2025.

Canes' Recruits Earn Rankings Bump

From the final On3 rankings, three of Miami's 2024 recruits are moving on up! Locked On Canes host Alex Donno breaks down the news with his Monday podcast:
