Class of 2024 quarterback Judd Anderson joined me on Thursday's episode of Locked On Canes.Β

The Jones County (GA) High School standout has been verbally committed to the Miami Hurricanes since April 7th. In the month and a half since, he hasn't stopped singing the praises of "The U."

I asked Anderson what it was about Miami's coaches that separated them from the rest of the pack in his recruitment.Β

His answer paints a very encouraging picture.

"Really, it was the brutal honesty," he said. "Me and my family, that's what we wanted. We wanted to know where we stand and what are some of the things we get out of Miami. We were hit with everything they had. We took it in and I said, 'Ok, this is where I want to be.'"

Anderson said he had a great feeling about Cristobal and his staff early on, based on phone conversations. Still, he wanted to see it and feel it in person. His first visit sealed the deal.Β

"This is the spot," he told himself.

Anderson's take on Cristobal reinforces so many others. I've heard it time and time again that recruits respect his honesty.Β

Anderson will visit Miami again, officially this time, on the weekend of June 23rd. He plans to be a recruiter to others. "We'll let these guys know where it's at and what 'The U' is all about!"
