The Miami Hurricanes entered the June 16th official visit weekend already trending as the leaders for 5-Star defensive tackle Justin Scott and 4-Star running back Kevin Riley, per recruiting services like 247 Sports and On3.

I discussed the feedback from those visits on a new episode of my Locked On Canes podcast.

Miami seems to have made a very strong push for Riley and reportedly see him as the ideal pairing with South Broward's Chris Wheatley-Humphrey, who committed to Miami in spring. Can Miami beat out the likes of Alabama and Auburn for Riley?

From where I sit, the Canes seem to be farther along with Riley than they are with IMG Academy RB Jerrick Gibson, another 4-Star standout, who visited earlier this month.

The Justin Scott situation is more difficult to read at the moment, as he isn't conducting any interviews this week. However, I have no reason to believe that Miami isn't still leading for the 310 pound phenom from Chicago. Notre Dame appear to be Miami's primary competition.

Meanwhile, the Canes seem to be climbing for 4-Star EDGE Elias Rudolph. He just moved from Cincinnati to Deerfield Beach, so his recruitment has been very Big 10 centric up to this point. Michigan have been the trending favorites, but the Hurricanes are climbing. Canes defensive line coach Jason Taylor made a strong impression on Rudolph during his OV.
