Mario Cristobal Breaks Down Miami's Class Of 2024 | Video
Mario Cristobal was smiling ear to ear on Wednesday. He and his staff have put in countless hours over the past several months to secure another elite recruiting class.

“The day is not done. Always an exciting day,” Cristobal said. “The ability to continue to enhance your program through talent acquisition both as human beings and football players. Today has been an awesome day so far and it’s not over. … There is a battle or two out there."
When referring to battles still out there, Cristobal is likely thinking about Miami's quest to flip 5-Star defensive lineman Armondo Blount away from Florida State. Blount is planning to announce his final decision later on Wednesday evening. Miami is also battling to sign 4-Star defensive back Zavier Mincey. Mincey is also strongly considering Florida, while Alabama is reportedly making a late surge.
As of Mario's press conference, Miami has 26 signees and the 7th ranked class, per the 247 Sports composite rankings. If the Hurricanes flip Blount, they can finish the day at #3. In that scenario, Miami would jump ahead of Florida State to earn the top class in the ACC and the top class in the state of Florida for the second straight year.
