The Miami Hurricanes are trying to keep as many of the top local recruits home as possible.

Mario Cristobal was successful in landing several of South Florida's top players in the class of 2024 like 5-star DL Armondo Blount, 4-star safety Zaquan Patterson, 4-star receivers Joshisa Trader and Chance Robinson and 4-star RB Jordan Lyle.

On Thursday, CaneSport writer Stephen Wagner logged predictions for Miami to land a pair of the top local players in the class of 2025.

The recruiting prediction machine is the On3 Sports version of a 247Sports crystal ball. Wagner has predicted the Hurricanes to land 4-star defensive lineman Randy Adirika and 4-star running back Byron Louis. Adirika plays for Miami Central and Byron Louis at American Heritage Plantation. Both schools are important recruiting pipelines for Miami.

Akirika, standing 6-5 and 250 pounds, is On3's 33rd ranked defensive lineman in the class of 2025. Miami has landed standout linemen from Central in each of the past two cycles: Rueben Bain in 2023 and Armondo Blount in 2024.

Louis - 6-0 and 208 pounds - is the 16th rated tailback in the class of 2025. Miami landed another former Heritage back, Mark Fletcher, two cycles ago in the class of 2023.

Wagner's prediction on Louis was logged at 65% confidence while the forecast on Adirika is at 70%.
