Where The Hurricanes Stand With Top Recruiting Targets After Under Armour Miami | Video
Several top Miami Hurricanes recruiting targets competed at the Under Armour Miami camp on Sunday.
Mario Cristobal and his staff are heavily recruiting top players all over the Southeast. Colleague Brian Smith, who covered UA Miami, joined me on Locked On Canes to break down a handful of blue chip prospects.
- Brian described 4-Star Homestead WR Cortez Mills as a top performer. Miami is very much in the mix with Mills but Smith suspects his recruitment could extend closer to national signing day in December.
- Can Miami get an official visit for 4-Star Cedartown, GA cornerback Tae Harris? Harris ran an insane 4.38 in the 40-yard dash.
- 4-Star Chaminade-Madonna cornerback Chris Ewald Jr. was another top performer at the camp. Miami is recruiting him heavily. Smith feels the Hurricanes have a slight lead here, but LSU and Auburn are heavily in the mix.
In addition to a UA Miami discussion, we also talked about Miami creating a big recruiting footprint in the state of Georgia. 4-Star Grayson (GA) HS cornerback Jaylen "Hollywood" Bell told me he will be visiting Miami on Friday to take in a Hurricanes spring practice. Miami has had recent recruiting success in the Peach State and will look to continue that, despite heavy competition from UGA and other SEC powers.
