Miami Making Sure Commitment Stays A Recruiting Priority

The Canes are recruiting this young man like he's not committed
In this story:

MIAMI, Fla. - The Miami Hurricanes coaching staff is not taking anything for granted with recruiting and that fact became even more well known from today's Under Armour camp.

The 2025 recruiting class has four verbal commitments and the Canes want to keep on adding to that total. To continue to progress, a component must be keeping each of those four prospects in the recruiting fold.

Palm Beach (Fla.) Central wide receiver Waden Charles is a great example. He's been committed to the Hurricanes since Sep. 10, 2023 and that fact did not stop Kevin Beard, Mario Cristobal and the entire staff from staying Rivals' #177 recruit in the country.

"I have a great relationship with Kevin Beard," Charles said. "I have been building it ever since he was offering me at Toledo. He keeps in contact with me every week. He calls me, texts me, and makes sure that I am good. So, that relationship is really good."

His ties with Miami also extend to the head coach, Mario Cristobal.

"It's a great relationship with coach Cristobal. Every time I'm on campus, he makes sure to see me and have a conversation with me. We talk about the future; what it's going to be like when I get on campus. He tells me how much of a priority I am with the class of 2025, and I am one of the guys that's going to come in and make an impact."

Just talking with Charles, it is apparent that Miami is truly placing its best foot forward to try and bring him to Coral Gables. This is the type of recruiting effort it takes to have a big-time college football program.
