CARROLLTON, Ga. -- Prentiss 'Air' Noland walked away from Sunday's Under Armour Next All-America camp with some hardware in addition to being invited to the nationally-televised game come January.

Before that point, the Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes state champion quarterback in the class of 2024 will likely have already made his collegiate decision.

Considering a bevy of options, with several March visits on tap, Miami is among the contenders for the top rising-senior recruit. Noland has long had a relationship with Mario Cristobal, who has personally recruited the 6-foot-3 quarterback for much of the 2024 cycle.

"We have a great relationship," Noland told All Hurricanes' Brian Smith. "We text every morning, me and Coach Cristobal love each other. He thinks I'm a great person not only on the field, but off the field and with my family.

"Coach Cristobal has it going in the right direction."

Noland will be in Coral Gables March 23 and 24 for more time with the Hurricane staff -- critical due to the turnover on the offensive side of the ball in particular.

Of course, Shannon Dawson's hire under Cristobal has Miami's chances for Noland's commitment on the rise. The two parties have been in communication for about a year or so, dating back to Dawson's time at Houston.

"Me and Coach Dawson have a great relationship," he said. "Our relationship has developed for about a year. I knew he (Cristobal) was going to hire a great O.C. and that's what he did. Coach Dawson runs a great offense, an air raid type of offense.

"He did great things at Houston and I think he'll do great things at Miami."

Beyond the personnel potentially in place should Noland pick the Miami program amid his 30-plus scholarship offers, he says UM offers plenty beyond ball as well.

"Of course the location, great weather," he said. "The players there speak highly of Miami, and of course a couple of Georgia guys committed there in their great 23 class. And Miami is a great institution, when you talk about student-athlete life, off the field."

As a junior in 2022, Noland threw for more than 4,000 yards and 55 touchdowns on his 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame. The junior run was capped with a state championship alongside Miami defensive line signee Joshua Horton
