Michigan's Basketball Season Is All But Over

Michigan picked a bad time to play its worst game of the season.

Juwan Howard and Michigan absolutely had to have a win against Rutgers today in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament in order to bolster its shaky NCAA Tournament resume, and all the Wolverines did was play their worst game of the season.

Michigan was up three at halftime and looked like the more talented team, but completely fell apart in the second half to the tune of one made field goal through the first 19 minutes of the stanza. It resulted in a 12-point loss to the Scarlet Knights and slammed door on the 2022-23 season.

Sure, Michigan might get invited to the NIT, but who cares? It certainly didn't look like the staff or players did today. The overly emotional section of the fanbase are calling for Juwan's head, while other, more rational fans are starting to think there could be a problem with U-M's head coach. Wherever you land, this season was one to forget.
