Heading into the 2024 season, most NFL analysts viewed Michigan's Will Johnson as the top cornerback in all of college football. In fact, the widespread belief is that Johnson would have been a first round selection in the 2024 NFL Draft as a sophomore had he been eligible. And although Johnson is still projected as an early first round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, PFF recently named Colorado's Travis Hunter as the top cornerback prospect.

There's no question that Hunter is an eletctric player, and the fact that he's a weapon on both sides of the ball have many believing he should be the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy this season. On the flip side, Johnson - who's also proven the ability to make big time plays at corner - has been out with an undisclosed injury since Michigan's Week 7 game against Illinois.

While Johnson didn't make the cut as the top prospect at corner, two other Wolverines were listed as the top draft prospects at their respective positions: Colston Loveland (TE) and Mason Graham (DT).

Loveland has been stellar for the Wolverines in 2024, leading the team in receptions (53), receiving yards (560), and receiving touchdowns (4). On the defensive side of the ball, Graham has asserted his dominance throughout the year. He's currently No. 2 on the team in tackles for loss (7), and No. 3 in sacks with 3.5.

In addition to Johnson, Loveland, and Graham, two other Wolverines have received first-round projections in the 2025 NFL Draft this season: Kenneth Grant (DT) and Josaiah Stewart (EDGE).

Although it's highly unlikely that we'll see Michigan break the program record of 13 draft picks set in 2024, there's a good chance that we'll see multiple Wolverines selected in the first-round - something that hasn't happened since the 2022 NFL Draft when Aidan Hutchinson and Daxton Hill were selected in the first round.

The 2025 NFL Draft begins on Thursday, April 24 and goes through Saturday, April 26.
