18 Michigan Football Players Make East-West Shrine Bowl 'Watch List'
The East-West Shrine Bowl is one of the biggest postseason games played by college football seniors being scouted by the NFL. It takes place on Feb. 1 2024 in Texas and it will be one of the most watched events by NFL scouts.
Yearly, the event scouts out the top 1,000 players to put on its 'watch list' heading into the new season.
Every year, approximately 1000 all-star game eligible players are drafted, signed after the draft, or attend a rookie mini-camp. Our aim is for this Shrine Bowl 1000 to serve as a look into our scouting process, as well as begin to preview college players who are currently all-star game eligible for the 2024 East-West Shrine Bowl and 2024 NFL Draft class.
The East-West Shrine Bowl is a best-in-class all-star event that will take place at the Dallas Cowboys Facility in Frisco, TX on February 1, 2024. Our players will be coached by NFL coaches, in an NFL facility, and will have access to NFL-level resources, facilities, player-friendly schedules, and opportunities at the highest level.
Entering the 2023 season, Michigan had the fourth-most players land on the watch list with 18.

With the watch list consisting of just seniors, draft-eligible juniors are not on the list. Michigan players like QB J.J. McCarthy, RB Donovan Edwards, LB Junior Colson, and S Rod Moore are all strong possibilities to enter the draft after this season.
Out of the 18 players to make the watch list, seven of them are offensive linemen. It shows how strong the Wolverines' O-line is entering the '23 season. Even after losing Ryan Hayes and Olu Oluwatimi to the NFL, Michigan is built to re-load and the Wolverines will be in contention for another Joe Moore Award.
