Michigan Announces Attendees For Big Ten Media Days
Big Ten Media Days always feels like the unofficial start to the upcoming football season. The two-day event will take place next week on Wednesday and Thursday in Indianapolis and Michigan will be very well represented. The official Twitter account for Michigan Football announced today that Mike Sainristil, Blake Corum and Kris Jenkins will be in the house representing the maize and blue, along with head coach Jim Harbaugh.
Harbaugh could not have picked three more deserving young men to represent their team.
Sainristil is a former team captain and someone who stepped into a new role last year and shined. He's extremely intelligent and always makes for a very good, informative interview.
Corum is arguably the hardest worker on the entire team and has a way about him when it comes to answering questions and talking to the media. You can tell how important everything is to him and he seems to put a lot of thought into his responses. He's also maybe the best running back in the country and has a lot to say given the way his season ended last year and because he decided to come back.
Finally, Jenkins is all personality. He's got an enormous smile, a lot to say and a pretty obvious sense of humor. Some players are all business at the podium, and while Jenkins does a really good job of staying on topic and delivering quality answers, he's always good for a joke and a laugh.
I think you're looking at three of this year's team captains, with Zak Zinter being named a fourth. That would make two on offense and two on defense, which is usually how Michigan and Harbaugh roll. It'll be interesting to see if that's how things play out because you simply could not pick three better dudes to speak on behalf of a team.
