Make Your Pick: Michigan vs. Indiana

As the Wolverines jump into the second half of the season, Jim Harbaugh has his team pretty much firing on all cylinders.

The description says that Jim Harbaugh's team is "pretty much" firing on all cylinders despite blowing teams out in their own house over the last two weeks only because it feels like the offense could still go up another level. That's a scary thought considering Michigan is the only team in the country that has beaten each of its opponents by at least 24 points. The Wolverines are also outscoring teams 76-0 in the third quarter and have yet to face a snap inside their own 10-yard line. Now, Indiana will try to achieve some success, which likely won't happen.

Its going to be rainy and windy when the Wolverines amd the Hoosiers clash tomorrow afternoon in Ann Arbor.

The Hoosiers have one of the worst rushing attacks in the nation No. 113 nationally), and the passing attack isn't much better (No. 77 nationally).

Between the weather and the matchup, this looks like it has all of the ingredients for another dominant win for Michigan. The Wolverines have national championship hopes, but they're also locked in on taking the process one step at a time. They're not going to overlook Indiana, and that's a major problem for the Hoosiers.

New week, same script. PJ Fleck said it best after his team got beat 52-10 at home last week — Michigan is too good, too big, too fast, too strong and they don't make mistakes. Minnesota and Nebraska are both marginally better than Indiana, so this one could get really ugly in Ann Arbor. Michigan should be able to run the ball at will, JJ McCarthy likely won't break a sweat and might not touch turf with anything other than the bottom of his cleats all day and Jesse Minter's defense has figured it out against much better teams than the Hoosiers. At the end of the day, I see it looking a lot like the past two weeks. If there aren't a couple of defensive touchdowns, I'm not sure the Wolverines can hit 50, but it should still be quite lopsided. In fact, I think Michigan finally keeps the shutout intact after a very dominant outing back in the friendly confines.

If you thought Michigan looked dominant the past two weekends, then the Wolverines have a chance to look even more dominant against a pedestrian Indiana team. It took a few overtimes for the 2-3 Hoosiers to take down Akron a few weekends ago. Indiana has a porous passing attack, but an even worse run game. Saturday, in what appears to be sloppy weather incoming, Indiana may need to focus on the run game in which it ranks 115th nationally. The Wolverines’ defense has a chance to feast on Indiana this weekend and we may see Michigan hold the Hoosiers to minimal years. As long as the Wolverines protect the football, in bad weather, and don’t make head-scratching mistakes — Michigan should win this game with ease.
