Michigan Football True Freshmen Tracker: Week 8

Wide receiver Mike Sainristil was the star of the show among the Michigan football true freshman class, recording his first career touchdown. We update you on who played and how their seasons are going.

TE Erick All: Played in his seventh game of the season at tight end but did not record a catch … Has one reception on the year, good for 10 yards and a first down. 

RB Zach Charbonnet: Appeared in his eighth game of the season, rushing for 74 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries (4.9 yards per rush) … Has started six of eight games this season and leads the Wolverines in rushing with 531 yards on 109 attempts … His nine rushing touchdowns tie a true freshman record, held by Tyrone Wheatley (1991) and Mike Hart (2004) … Charbonnet also has eight catches for 30 yards. 

S Daxton Hill: Saw action in his eighth game of the season, appearing on defense and special teams in all eight contests … Though he did not record a tackle, he recovered a pair of fumbles and had a pass breakup … On the year has 14 tackles, 1.5 for loss, and two PBUs. 

DL Chris Hinton: Saw action along the defensive line but did not record a tackle … Has played in seven games this year and has two stops. 

WR Giles Jackson: Made one catch for eight yards and returned a single kickoff for 23 yards in his eighth appearance of the season … Has been Michigan's primary kickoff returner this season, averaging 21.1 yards on 10 returns, with a long of 34 yards … Also has three catches for 31 yards and a score. 

WR Cornelius Johnson: Played wide receiver, appearing in his seventh game this season but did not record a catch … Has two receptions this season. 

WR Mike Sainristil: Had career highs in receptions (three), yards (73) and touchdowns (one), scoring on a 26-yard pass from backup QB Dylan McCaffrey … Now has four catches on the year in eight games played.   

LB Anthony Solomon: Made his seventh appearance of the season, mostly on special teams, and did not record a tackle … Has one stop on the year.
