Michigan football predicted to have two 'must watch' games in 2024
Whenever Michigan football is on national television there are plenty of eyes watching the Wolverines. Regardless if you're a fan of the maize and blue or a heated rival, plenty of people want to see what type of team Michigan will be fielding in 2024.
The Wolverines will have one of the more difficult schedules in college football this season and Michigan will have several marquee games. The Wolverines will face three of the new Big Ten schools this season -- former Pac-12 Conference -- USC, Washington, and Oregon. Those alone will garner some attention just for the 'new' feel of the Big Ten Conference.
However, according to On3's Pete Nakos, none of those games are predicted to be among the top 10 most-watched games this season. But Nakos does have Michigan having two of the top three most-watched games.
At No. 1 is The Game of all games, Michigan vs. Ohio State. Nakos also has Texas vs. Michigan as the No. 3 game in 2024.
Interestingly enough, Nakos has Ohio State vs. Oregon at No. 4. While the Buckeyes are getting plenty of national love for possibly winning the entire thing this season, it feels like Oregon vs. Michigan is equally as big. Between the Buckeyes, Wolverines, Ducks, and Penn State -- the Big Ten is more than likely a four-team race this season.
Michigan has defeated Ohio State in the past three seasons and the Buckeyes have plenty of pressure on their shoulders to beat Michigan in the Horseshoe this year. Could Ryan Day be on the hot seat if he drops a fourth-consecutive game to Sherrone Moore and the Wolverines? It's certainly possible and you can bet every college football fan will be tuning into that game on November 30.
