Michigan Football's First Maize-Out Game Revealed

There's nothing quite like taking in a football game at Michigan Stadium on a fall Saturday, particularly when there's over 110,000 fans participating in a maize-out.

There's nothing quite like taking in a football game at Michigan Stadium on a fall Saturday. With over 110,000 fans routinely in attendance, the Big House provides an experience unlike any other - particularly during a maize-out. 

According to the Michigan Athletics ticket office, the first-maize out of the 2023 season will occur during week one against East Carolina.

This will be the first-ever matchup between Michigan and East Carolina, and the first Big Ten matchup for the Pirates since facing Illinois back in 1995.

The game is set to take place on Sept. 2 at 12:00 pm ET and will be televised on NBC’s exclusive streaming platform Peacock.

  • Week 1: Sept. 2 vs. East Carolina, 12:00 pm ET - Peacock
