The marquee matchup in the Big Ten conference over the weekend took place in Happy Valley with No. 3 Michigan clashing with No. 10 Penn State. This was expected to be the first big test for the Wolverines all season, but Michigan was comfortably in control for a better part of the afternoon - cruising to a 24-15 victory. 

Offensively, the Wolverines were led by Blake Corum, who finished his afternoon with 145 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns on 26 carries. Defensively, the Wolverines held Penn State staring quarterback Drew Allar to just 10-22 for 70 yards and 1 touchdown through the air. 

Elsewhere around the league, No. 1 Ohio State easily disposed of Michigan State by a score of 38-3, Iowa clinched its share of the Big Ten West title with a 22-0 win over Rutgers, and Illinois edged out Indiana in overtime 48-45.
