The No. 2 Michigan Wolverines still have a minimum of six games remaining in the 2023 season, and senior running back Blake Corum is quickly cementing his legacy as one of the greatest U-M backs of all-time.

The senior running back out of St. Francis Academy had two rushing touchdowns on the afternoon, as Michigan absolutely pummeled Indiana 52-7 in Ann Arbor. Corum's pair of rushing touchdowns brought his career total to 43, passing Michigan legends Mike Hart (41) and Denard Robinson (42) in the process. He's now third all-time in career touchdowns at the University of Michigan, trailing only Tyrone Wheatley (47) and Anthony Thomas (55).

Corum's two touchdowns also brought his season total to 12, which is the most of any running back in the country at this point in the season.

Following the 2022 season, Corum had a massive decision to make - remain in Ann Arbor for another season, or pursue his dream of playing in the NFL. Corum ultimately decided to put his NFL dreams on hold for one more year, saying that he wanted to help deliver a national championship back to Michigan and add to his legacy.

“I will be back at the University of Michigan ready to excel and just do everything we’ve been doing, but really to just finish it all. We’re so close, and I believe in my teammates. I believe in the new team, team 144. It’s going to be a beautiful thing.

“It’s going to take a bunch of work, a lot of blood sweat and tears, but I’m ready to run it back. I’m ready to continue to be in the community. I’m going to get my degree and leave my legacy.”
