Michigan's Donovan Edwards Snubbed In Top-100 List

He dialed up some big time performances is some of Michigan's biggest games of the 2022 season, but he failed to make the top-100 list according to 247Sports.

With the 2023 season just weeks away, 247Sports released its top 100 players for the upcoming season. Although the list featured five Wolverines, there was one significant name in Ann Arbor who didn't make the list - running back Donovan Edwards.

Although he played backup to Blake Corum for most of the season, Edwards stepped up in a major way when Corum went down with a season ending injury in Week 11 against Illinois. It started with Ohio State, where Edwards ripped off two second half touchdowns runs of 75 and 85 yards - finishing his afternoon in Columbus with 216 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries.

The following week, Edwards led the Wolverines in the Big Ten Championship game with 185 yards and one touchdown on 25 carries - earning Big Ten Championship Player of the Game for his efforts.

In total, Edwards finished his sophomore campaign with 991 yards and 7 touchdowns on 140 carries, all while battling multiple injuries throughout the season.

In addition to his incredible performances down the stretch, Edwards also made history in 2022, as he became the first player in Michigan Football history with a touchdown pass , touchdown catch, and touchdown run of at least 75 yards in his career.

Given all that Edwards brings to the table as an athlete, his omission on the top-100 player list is puzzling to say the least.

That being said, here are the five Wolverines who made the cut:
