We've officially reached the midway point of the 2023 regular season, and the Michigan Wolverines look like one of the most dominant football teams in the country.

We've officially reached the midway point of the 2023 regular season, and the Michigan Wolverines look like one of the most dominant football teams in the country.

Once again, the Wolverines put together an impressive performance from start to finish against Minnesota on Saturday night. JJ McCarthy led the way offensively with 219 yards through the air, and also accounted for three total touchdowns (one passing, two rushing). Defensively, the Wolverines were absolutely suffocating, holding the Golden Gophers to just 169 total yards and not allowing a single snap in the redzone.

Here's a look at some noteworthy items from Saturday night's win:

  • Michigan's 52 points are the most it has ever scored in the series history at Minnesota.
  • The Michigan defense allowed zero redzone snaps for Minnesota on Saturday night, and has allowed just 8 red zone drives all season.
  • Michigan currently has a +184 point differential through six weeks, which is the third-best in FBS this season.
  • Quarterback JJ McCarthy had 17 yards rushing and two touchdowns on four attempts. His two touchdowns on the ground are the most he's had in a single game during his Michigan career.
  • Blake Corum rushed for 69 yards and one touchdown on nine carries. Corum's single touchdown put him at 41 total rushing touchdowns for his Michigan career, moving him to No. 4 all-time - tied with former Michigan running back and current running backs coach, Mike Hart.
  • Defensive lineman Mason Graham returned after missing multiple games with injury, and he looked completely dominant up front. He led the Wolverines with 6 total tackles and one sack.
  • Michigan had two Pick-6's in a game for the first time since 2017. Cornerback Will Johnson and safety Keon Sabb both took interceptions back for scores against Minnesota.
  • Colston Loveland only caught one pass on Saturday night, but it was good for his first touchdown reception of the 2023 season.

Up next, Michigan (6-0) returns to Ann Arbor to face an Indiana (2-3) team that will be coming off of a bye-week. The game kicks off at noon on FOX.
