Over/Unders

Shea Patterson passing yards: 250

Patterson is averaging just 207.7 yards passing per game but he'll need to be better than that against Penn State later today. Unfortunately, we've heard that U-M might not be willing to air it out against the Nittany Lions. We shall see...

Michigan running back touchdowns: 1.5

On the flip side, we've heard that the plan might be to run the ball, control the clock and win the game with defense. If that's the case, you better hope the running backs can find the end zone a couple of times. Unfortunately, Penn State has one of the nation's best rush defenses and will be fired up in their home environment.

Sean Clifford rushing yards: 50

This one could go one of two ways. Clifford is averaging just 42 rushing per game, so the under seems safe, but does he need to be a bigger weapon agains the Wolverines? Or, does U-M's defense shut the apparent dual-threat quarterback down? Whichever situation plays out will have a huge effect on the outcome of the game.

Michigan turnovers: 1.5

This is another massive storyline in the game. Michigan has been plagued by fumbles and it has killed drives and offensive opportunities. In order to win against a good team in their house, you have to take care of the ball. If Michigan can play 60 minutes with one turnover or less, they'll have a shot. Give the ball away to the Nittany Lions more than that and it's going to be tough to win.

Total points scored for both teams: 42.5

A lot of people see this being a low-scoring, defensive battle. Both teams wants to score points with a spread offense but it could be tough sledding with a lot of fast, talented athletes on the defensive side of the ball. Both teams may score some points but it definitely doesn't seem like it'll be a shootout.
