Big Ten Football: Predicting Every Big Ten Final Score In Week 9

Here's what to expect this week in the Big Ten conference.

Week 8 in the Big Ten will have five games this weekend.

The intrigue this weekend revolves around the primetime game on NBC between Ohio State and Wisconsin. The Badgers hold the lead in the West and Ohio State is tied with Michigan in the East. If the Buckeyes beat the Badgers, the West is back up for grabs, and if the Badgers could upset the Buckeyes, then the Wolverines would have sole possession of the East.

Here's how I see each Big Ten game going this weekend.

Trent's SU win/loss record through eight weeks: 63-9

Indiana vs. Penn State -- Noon ET

Drew Allar flat-out looked bad last week in Columbus against Ohio State. Between the constant pass rush, and maybe some paranoia, Allar was very inconsistent. James Franklin and the Nittany Lions should be in store for a bounce-back game this weekend. Indiana has lost three in a row and is tied with Michigan State as the bottom dweller in the East. Penn State big.

Penn State 34, Indiana 7

Maryland vs. Northwestern -- Noon ET

As good as Maryland looked to start the year, the Terps have dropped the past two outings against Ohio State and Illinois (wow). Don't look now, but Northwestern has three wins and the Wildcats have been extremely competitive as of late and they had all the chances to take down Nebraska a week ago. I think Maryland wins, but I think Northwestern keeps it close.

Maryland 24, Northwestern 14

Michigan State vs. Minnesota -- 3:30 p.m. ET

As controversial as it was, Minnesota picked up a big win in Iowa last week. The Gophers are right back in the thick of the West division after taking down the Hawkeyes. With Michigan State coming off of a 49-0 loss to Michigan, it's hard to believe the Spartans will be able to go into Minnesota and come out with a win. I look for a low-scoring game with the Gophers coming out on top.

Minnesota 21, Michigan State 13

Purdue vs. Nebraska -- 3:30 p.m. ET

As painful as it may sound, Nebraska is still playing for a West title. The Huskers are one game back from Wisconsin and if the Badgers lose on Saturday night, Nebraska is tied for first. The game is in Lincoln -- Nebraska should win a game when it's playing for something.

Nebraska 28, Purdue 24

Ohio State vs. Wisconsin -- 7:30 p.m. ET

I fully believe if Wisconsin was healthy, the Badgers would stand a puncher's chance here, but Wisconsin is out several key players including QB Tanner Mordecai. Ohio State should be back to full health by getting Emeka Egbuka and Henderson back. I look for the Buckeyes to keep things moving right along.

Ohio State 41, Wisconsin 17
