Volunteer fans trigger hapless Buckeyes by embracing block M
In preparation of their Saturday night showdown in The Shoe, Tennessee fans are embracing the block M. Volunteer fans have spent the last week roasting Buckeye fans for their inability to beat Michigan at pretty much anything. On Saturday, the Volunteer faithful used Michigan graphics and the block M to trigger hapless Buckeyes during the lead up to their College Football Playoff match.
In recent days, some Buckeye fans have tried to play off their recent string of beatdowns at the hand of Michigan by downplaying the importance of The Game itself. They claim they're focused on the bigger picture, which is winning a national championship. Apparently, they have forgotten that you can win The Game and a National Championship in the same year (see the U-M team from last year). Some Tennessee fans have even brought the block M along to their tailgates for good luck,
Heading into Saturday night's matchup, the Buckeyes are a 7.5 point favorite over the Vols. Tennessee enters the game with two losses, including a five-point upset to Arkansas and a 14-point loss to fellow CFP participant Georgia. Ohio State also has two losses, including a one-point loss to Big Ten Champion and No. 1 ranked Oregon, and a three-point loss at home to a Michigan team they were favored to beat by 21 points.
Vol fans are feeling pretty optimistic going into The Shoe and point to the Michigan win over the Buckeyes as a blueprint to success. Needless to say, all of the Michigan fanbase are behind the boys in orange when they step onto the field of the worst stadium in America tonight at 8pm.
