Underrated 2024 Michigan Football Commit Becomes An Under Armour All-American
Michigan landed four-star RB Jordan Marshall, which was a huge get in the 2024 recruiting class, and Michigan fans were hoping the Wolverines would land Taylor Tatum to pair with Marshall, but the Michigan coaching staff had other thoughts.
On June 17 three-star Micah Kaapana announced he would commit to Michigan and all of a sudden -- the Wolverines were out on Tatum.
Kaapana, a running back from powerhouse Las Vegas (NV) Bishop Gorman, is a three-star RB on all four major recruiting sites. According to the Composite ranking, he is the 494th-ranked player and the 39th-best running back in the 2024 cycle.
While the commitment didn't of Kaapana didn't make Michigan fans go crazy, it's apparent as the high school has moved on, the Wolverines are getting a diamond in the rough.
Kaapana announced on Twitter (X) that is officially an Under Armour All-American.
In 2022, Kaapana ran for over 1,000 yards during his junior season of football. According to Max Preps, he has run for 539 yards this season, averaging 12 yards per carry, and seven rushing scores.
Other notable offers Kaapana had outside of Michigan were: Arizona State, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, BYU, and Utah.
