Versatile Athlete From SEC Country Puts Michigan In Top Group

Michigan continues to get the attention of prospects at all positions and from all over the country.
In this story:

Jim Harbaugh and his staff are doing a phenomenal job on the recruiting trail in the 2024 cycle. With 17 commits, the Wolverines are currently sitting at No. 2 in the country in 247 Sports' national rankings and will certainly continue to add to it. One such target who could bolster the already stellar class, is Meridian (Miss.) High four-star athlete Daniel Hill.

The 6-1, 220-pounder recently dropped a top eight that had a heavy SEC flavor, but did include Big Ten programs Michigan and Penn State.

The Wolverines and Nittany Lions will battle Alabama, LSU, Mississippi State, Tennessee, South Carolina and Auburn for Hill's services. As a Mississippi native, Hill is likely to stay down south, but says that's it's definitely not a guarantee, especially with an impending visit to Ann Arbor coming up.

"I mean as of right now, depending on how the visit [to Michigan] goes, everybody has a fair shot," Hill said.

Recruiting ace Chris Partridge has been heading up U-M's pursuit of Hill, which could be an indicator of how the Wolverines staff views Hill. Granted, Partridge does handle most southern prospects, but as linebackers coach, there's a chance that's how the staff views the 220-pound athlete. Hill plays running back, linebacker, wide receiver and even returns kicks for his high school team and shines at everything. In the tape below, you can see him make play after play at multiple positions.
