Stud Athlete Puts Michigan In Top Group
There are some interesting things going on at the quarterback position in the 2025 recruiting class for Michigan. Belleville (Mich.) High superstar Bryce Underwood is the top target, for multiple schools as the nation's top prospect, but the Wolverines just landed Fort Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot four-star Carter Smith. Now, another talented guy, who can play quarterback, is also eyeing the Wolverines.
Pearland (Texas) Shadow Creek athlete Jacorey Watson recently cut down his list and he's still considering the Wolverines.
As you can see, Watson is listed as a wide receiver by 247 Sports, but he's got an incredible highlight reel as a dual-threat quarterback. Players like that are always intriguing because they could potentially do so many things at the next level. Jim Harbaugh has moved guys around in the past so bringing someone in like Watsons could be really intriguing.
The 5-10, 175-pounder now has a top ten that has been announced via social media.
The Texas native is now focusing on TCU, LSU, Houston, Kansas, Duke, Oregon, Ole Miss, Michigan, Missouri and Texas. It's a pretty interesting list for a four-star, do-it-all athlete, but each destination makes sense given what he can do with the ball. For Michigan, he likely wouldn't come in at quarterback, but you never know. It's going to be interesting to see if the Wolverines stay involved and if Watson keeps the Wolverines in the mix going forward.
