Five-Star Georgia Commit Seen Sporting Michigan Gear

Stealing a Georgia kid away from Georgia is nearly impossible, but Michigan is trying.
In this story:

Whenever a kid from Georgia is committed to the Bulldogs, it's usually not worth pursuing him, but Buford (Ga.) High linebacker Jadon Perlotte might be good enough to at least give it a shot, especially if you're old/new Michigan linebackers coach Chris Partridge.

The 6-3, 200-pound Perlotte has been committed to the Dawgs since early-December, but Partridge is an ace recruiter and developed outstanding inroads in The Peach State. Potentially because of that, Perlotte was recently spotted in maize and blue, not red and black.

Sporting the gear of another school while committed isn't a new trend, but this one is interesting given the above information. Partridge is relentless on the recruiting trail and is a star in the state of Georgia. On top of that, Perlotte knew what he was doing here. These big time recruits know there will be eyes on them at events and understand that their photo will be taken. He knew he'd be spotted in the maize and blue Jumpman gear and is still rocking it proudly. It's also interesting that he's wearing a black and gold 7-on-7 uniform, so why not black, Georgia accessories? Matching isn't what it once was, but still... He's visibly representing Michigan and is at least interested in the Wolverines.

Of course, this probably means less than just about everything else on the recruiting trail, but think about it...if a "solid" Michigan commit pulled up at a 7-on-7 event wearing Georgia gear, U-M recruiting fans would lose it. It's certainly not an imminent sign of a flip, but it's not nothing either.
