Michigan is on its way to landing another top tight end class -- this time in the 2025 cycle.

Four-star tight end Eli Owens has been trending toward Michigan for some time. He made it official on Thursday afternoon.

Owens announced on social media he committed to the Wolverines.

According to the Composite, Owens is the 355th-ranked recruit and the No. 19 TE in the 2025 cycle. He hails from Alcoa (Tennessee) and has a solid offer list.

Teams like Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan State, Ohio State, and Tennessee were all after Owens and sent him an offer.

He already has legit size standing a little over 6-foot-1 and weighs 243 pounds. Owens has one more season in high school to bulk up a little more before coming to Ann Arbor.

Owens took an official visit to Ann Arbor when he Wolverines hosted Purdue, and he also came back to Michigan when it hosted Ohio State for The Game.

With the addition of Owens, Michigan now has four commitments in the 2025 cycle.
