Lugard Edokpayi Looks Right At Home In The Maize And Blue
Earlier this week, District Heights (Md.) Bishop McNamara EDGE rusher Lugard Edokpayi took an official visit to Michigan and, by the looks of it, he enjoyed his time immensely.
The 6-6, 230-pounder threw on the No. 8 jersey, custom Jordan cleats, a couple of wristbands and a half sleeve and of course the famed winged helmet, equipped with a Jordan brand visor, and really looked the part as a future sack artist.
Edokpayi is described as a long, athletic prospect with a ton of upside. He's quite raw as a pass rusher, but has enough athleticism to get to the quarterback and actually to play wide receiver as well.
The lanky pass rusher kicked off his official visit tour with a stop at Minnesota. The Gophers are not as involved now as there could be shake ups coming to their defensive staff. Edokpayi also checked out Rutgers and the home-state Terrapins in an official capacity before checking out Michigan earlier this week. He'll take his fifth and final official visit to Florida State beginning on Friday. After that, it's about sitting down and making a list before he makes his final decision. Edokpayi plans on signing next week during the three-day period that starts on Dec. 20.
