#1 Michigan State Spartan Basketball vs Albion Official Game Thread

The #1 Michigan State Spartan basketball team opened the much-anticipated 2019-2020 season tonight here at the Breslin Center.  While this game is only an exhibition against Albion and two of Cassius Winston's brothers, it still matters.

Izzo said that his starting lineup will be:

SG Mark "ROCKET" Watts

G Aaron Henry

F Thomas Kithier

C Xavier Tillman

But the Spartans expect to play their entire team tonight.  Izzo is looking for a Spark and someone to take two spots.  

In this game thread, we will have constant updates from our courtside seats, halftime and post-game press conferences.  Should you have any questions on the game or what is happening please comment below and we will get right on it.  Also, comment along as the night goes on talking about the game with Spartans from around the nation.

This is the first time in program history that the Spartans open the season as the #1 team in the AP poll.  An honor not lost on Izzo and his team.

The game tips off at 7 p.m. and will air live on BTN Plus.

UPDATE:  6:43 PM Zach Winston, brother of Cassius is OUT for the game and will not play for Albion.
