Michigan State Basketball Coach Tom Izzo Gets Some Bad News For One of His New Spartans!

Ben Carter joined Michigan State basketball this summer as a graduate transfer. His playing for the Spartans has been delayed. Tom Izzo released this statement today about his health.

Carter Suffers Knee Injury

Michigan State graduate transfer Ben Carter suffered a knee injury over the weekend. The injury will require surgery and keep him out for an extended period of time although an exact timetable has not been determined. The injury occurred when he landed awkwardly after contesting a shot.

“I feel awful for Ben,” said MSU head coach Tom Izzo. “He had worked extremely hard on his rehab and to suffer another knee injury on a fluke play is incredibly cruel.”
