19 MI ATH Jalen Graham Talks Michigan State

After an impressive junior season where he showed off his versatility playing several different positions on offense and defense, Detroit (MI) Cass Tech 2019 ATH Jalen Grahamhas seen more offers come in an interest in him pick up in recent months.
Graham, who has received plenty of interest from #15 Michigan Staterecently, recently spoke with Spartan Nation and said that he felt his junior season proved to be very successful for him.
“Personally, I think it went pretty good,” he said. “Personally, it was good because I got to show what I can do on both sides of the ball and at multiple positions – quarterback, receiver, and safety as well.”
So far in the recruiting process, Graham holds 12 offers, including offers from Syracuse, Missouri, Iowa State, Kentucky and, most recently, Minnesota and Northern Illinois, who extended offers last Thursday.
In his interactions with schools who have expressed interest in him, most have told him that they envision the 6-foot-2, 195 pound standout as a safety, where he has made a name for himself as a big hitter.

“I always try to do that,” he said. “Going into the game, I always want to impose my will.”
Graham, who was last on campus in East Lansing before the start of the 2017 football season, told Spartan Nation that he plans to make a return visit at least twice in the not-so-distant future, once for a Junior Day and once for a camp this summer.
If the Spartans were to extend an offer to Graham, he said that Michigan State would be a school that he would consider for a number of reasons, including the fact it’s a school right in his backyard, along with the fact that he likes Michigan State’s track record as a winning program.
“For me, since it’s a hometown school, that’s always good,” he said. “Then, the fact that they always win, they had a bad season two years ago, but they bounced right back this year and won a bowl game.”
But with another year left before National Signing Day for the class of 2019, Graham is in no rush to make a college decision and said that he doesn’t expect to make a decision until after the conclusion of his senior season at Cass Tech.
“Not yet,” he said. “I was thinking about it and I probably want to make it sometime right after next season because I think then I could weigh all of my options and all of the colleges I would want to talk to, I’d have talked to and weigh my options from there.”
