Strengths: There is no easier way to say it then I love to watch Drone play football. He loves it and it shows. Here is a great example of that. Against the Irish in the fourth quarter last year, they had the ball at their own 42. They were facing a third and two. The Irish were in the gun with the RB on the QB’s left. Drone’s assignment was to contain the RB. He did so and the QB kept the ball. Drone rotated 360 degrees and made the amazing tackle. You couldn’t help but watch that and say what amazing athleticism.

Weakness: Against WMU in the fourth quarter with 14:21 remaining in the game the Broncos had a first and ten at their own 15. Drone split the OT/OG on a great play, when he got to the RB he tried to tackle him around the shoulders and that doesn’t work. He has a good given gift of talent. He is also very young. I wouldn’t expect that mistake this season because he was eliminating them last year, but that is when he flashes a weakness.

Final Analysis: Drone is another good player. He has talent to burn and is amazingly only a sophomore. Here is another young man that if he doesn’t start it is because he is a victim of talent. He has the tools and just a short time ago (Coach D’s first two seasons) they begged for a talent like Drone and now he may not start. That tells you how far this program has come.
