Come Hear Mark Dantonio and Jim Tressel Live in East Lansing April 29
The Duffy Daugherty Award Committee is proud to announce their 2010 recipient. He is one of the best and most respected college football coaches in the nation in Jim Tressel from Ohio State University.
Â
Upon hearing that he had won the award, Tressel said, “What a tremendous thrill it is to accept an award named for the great Duffy Daugherty. He was a childhood idol of mine and a coaching peer of my dad, Lee Tressel. Sharing the day with the Michigan State staff will be something that I will always cherish.â€
Â
The first Duffy Daugherty award was given out in 1992 to legendary coach Bud Wilkinson and the name of recipients since is simply astounding. Hall of Fame names like Bobby Bowden, Bo Schembechler, Tom Osbourne and Eddie Robinson have also claimed this prestigious award.
Â
Tressel will be joined by his lovely wife Ellen at the April 29, 2010 event at Eagle Eye Golf Club in Bath. The public is welcome, but tickets are limited. Tickets are $50 for singles and a table of eight for $400. Tables come with reserved seating.
Â
You can purchase your tickets at the Law Offices of Pat Boog, 321 West Lake Lansing Road, East Lansing, Michigan, 48823. They can be purchased either in person or by mail. Please make checks payable to the Duffy Daugherty Award Committee. You can also call 517-333-0189.
