The Michigan State Spartan Football team sits at 4-3. Coming into a season full of excitement and promise, the team stands on the precipice of watching their season fall into a complete collapse with a loss on Saturday. This game with #7 Penn State (7-0) kicks off at 3:30 PM at Spartan Stadium.

The above video is Spartan TE Matt Seybert. We caught up with him after practice and he talked about the state of the Spartans and looked ahead to Penn State.  Seybert has been one of only a few bright spots on the MSU offense and is not only a special player but an extraordinary young man.

Dantonio has six players in the transfer portal.  While he can't like that, he wouldn't have his burgeoning superstar in Seybert if people didn't transfer.

Dantonio said of all the transfers, "First of all, I'm going to take the high road in terms of the transfer portal. There's a lot of young men in the transfer portal right now and if you can break it up by schools, you can break it up by position, you can break it up by year, and it all sort of sorts itself out. It goes in a lot of different directions.

Coach added, "But I think it's the new norm, sad to say, I think it's the new norm that we'll see in college football. I think it's a little bit, you know -- there's a different reason for everybody making these decisions, but I think in the end, it's about an opportunity to play in a lot of ways. It's about patience at times for younger players or for older players. It's about, you know, trying to move forward with their careers."
